The Rhoer Club is the youth group affiliate of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. for young ladies ages 12-18.

 

Founded in 1939 at the 14th Biennial Boule, the first Rhoer Club was formed in 1940 by Alpha Eta Chapter.

 

This group was organized to encourage high scholastic attainment and the development of leadership skills.

A love for youth and the development of their full potential was the primary motivating factor that inspired Founder Mary Lou Allison Gardner Little to organize Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Young people, today, face challenges that could never have been imagined years ago; however, such challenges provide the sorority with opportunities to carry on Soror Mary Lou's vision.

 

Rhoers are young girls who are organized on a local, regional and national level. The Rhoer affiliates are working to help other young people while they learn about their heritage and develop leadership skills. Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is dedicated to helping Rhoers grow to be women of substance who are dedicated to service.
